This wine has been three years in the making. Harvested on a cold windy day, Dec. 4, 2005, each bunch was hand picked. Each grape produced just a few drops of sweet golden nectar. It was laid to rest in oak barrels for 25 months. It is very similar in flavor to a Sauterne. It is sweet on the attack but finishes crisp, clean and dry. The Bouquet has a honey, buttery nut aroma. On the palate it is reminiscent of buttery caramel with overtones of glazed orange and pineapple. It has hints of toasted Hazel and Walnuts on the finish. It is great to drink alone or with desserts made with tree fruits, date or fig puddings and pumpkin pie.
