Inside the sophisticated 10-Year-Old Reserve bottle is a triple distilled blend, aged in Spanish and American Oak casks for a minimum of 10 years. The result is a refined and balanced whiskey that exemplifies Tullamore Dew's distinctive smoothness.
Its nose is fresh, malty and woody with citrus notes, while the whiskey itself is medium bodied with balanced flavours of malt and spice, wood and vanilla.
“Lovely smells of butterscotch, maple, and baked pineapple greet the olfactory sense; swirling and an additional six minutes in the glass stir up fruity scents, in particular, banana, apple-sauce, and baked pear. Entry offers delicately sweet tastes of ripe yellow fruit, oaky vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg; midpalate stays the sweet and simple course as the fruit elements go into overdrive, providing an easy, highly likeable quaff that lasts long and biscuity in the finish. Is this the most complex Irish whiskey produced? No, but that’s not how it’s designed. This unabashedly sweet whiskey is all about uncomplicated taste and enjoyment from the start.
