The Rosella’s Vineyard is in the Santa Lucia Highlands Appellation of Monterey County. It is west of the town of Gonzales and was planted in 1999 to multiple clones of Pinot Noir (and some Chardonnay and Syrah). The vineyard is owned by Gary and Rose Franscioni. Siduri has been purchasing grapes and making a Vineyard-Designated Rosella’s Vineyard Pinot Noir since the innagural 2001 vintage. They purchase 5 different clones of Pinot Noir from the Rosella’s Vineyard, fermenting them separately and then combining the best barrels for the final blend.
