Deep ruby red in color with notes of blackberry, blueberry and raspberry on the nose all backed together with balsamic and mineral hints. Great elegance and finesse on the palate with fine tannins. It is opulent with berry characters and a long finish.
The vineyards where this wine is produced have an average age of 10 years. Both vineyards are located in San Donato in Poggio and Castellina in Chianti. These areas are in the Tuscany region.
The wine was racked into small oak barrels where it remained for 18 months. It aged for at least further 6 months in bottle before release.
