This cru, from the St. Emilion Grand Cru appellation, combines Mangot's four terroirs spread between the foot of the slopes, terraces and plateaux. The 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon blend is pulled from all 21 of the Chateau's plots.
Grapes are harvested plot by plot according to grape variety, but also and above all, according to terroir, altitude, exposure and age of the vines. The plots are vinified separately with racking techniques and barrel maturation adapted specifically to each parcel. Barrels are then tasted and blended over the course of 2 years.

"A neighbour of Château Faugères, expected to be classified next time around. It has exceptional terroir, and is now run by the two Todeschini brothers, a third-generation Italian family. A juicy style and one to watch. (Reviewed by Jane Anson)" -Rated 90, Decanter
"Attractive, riper dark-berry compote, as well as rich plums. This has a dense and juicy core with a long, sleek feed of tannins into the fresh finish. A blend of 85 per cent merlot, nine per cent cabernet franc and six per cent cabernet sauvignon." -Rated 92, James Suckling
